Biography of Bizkit
The 4 time Grammy nominated producer, saxophonist, artist, engineer, model, actor Allen "Bizkit" Arthur was born and raised in the city of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia,PA). In the 4th grade he decided to pick up the saxophone. After a few short months, Bizkit had his first concert and he immediately knew he had a love for being on stage. Years later Bizkit while in the jazz band at CAPA (the High School for Creative and Performing Arts), he met Keith "Butta" Justice. The two hit it off musically, and during their senior year at CAPA they got the opportunity to perform their 1st original song. After seeing the response from the crowd the two never looked back. After high school Bizkit went straight into the music game. He performed live and also did studio work in horn sections for various artists. His horn section "UHornz" got the chance to work with Rodney Jerkins and his producers. During the sessions he observed and saw what it took to make a hit record from the beginning to the end. From those sessions Bizkit got a taste of what being on a hit record feels like, by playing sax on "Deja Vu" by Beyonce'. He now knew what it was like to hear himself on the radio and from that moment on he knew that his new goal was to become a producer!!
Some months passed by and Bizkit got recruited to audition for John Legend. He made the band and toured around the world with Legend for 7 years. During his time on tour he had a lot of down time and he used it to perfect his production craft. Legend's brother Vaughn Anthony was also on the tour and was in the process of working on his album. When the tour stopped in Tokyo, Vaughn invited Biz to the studio to write with him and Legend. John offered Bizkit's and his crew (Philly Phatboiz) a publishing deal after taking notice of the teams drive, hunger and talent. After working for a while and building catalogue together the team produced their first major placement "I Miss You Now" by Ledisi. When L.A. Reid heard the Philly Phatboiz produced song Tonight (Best You Ever Had) by John Legend he knew immediately he had to use it for the movie "Think Like a Man". Reid loved it so much that he placed it in the movie 6 times. CHA CHING!! The song won the Ashford & Simpson Songwriters soul train award and was Grammy Nominated.
After gaining success producing with great artists and writers such as Legend, Miguel and Neyo, to name a few, Bizkit once again wanted more. He found a voice when he went in the studio with partner Butta and Atlanta lyricist STS to work on records to shop. The vibe was so great the three started the band NAC. After the band did shows, put out music and worked for about a year, Bizkit wanted to go in the studio and attempt to work on his own personal music. "Teddy Bear" and "Heartbreak" are his latest offerings to the world. He hopes and plans to tour the world performing his music; making people dance, laugh and smile when they hear his fun and funky music. He wants to continue to create catchy but clever songs with great hooks and relatable concepts. Bizkit is here and ready to do it for the Big Boys and all girls love TEDDY BEARS right?!
